Presenting for Best Make-up, Ben Stiller

If You were lucky enough to Be At The Kodak Theatre Last Night...

March 7, 2010, what an incredible night it was! If you were lucky enough to be there, in the Kodak Theatre, in Hollywood, California, for the Academy of Arts and Sciences Awards Night, you saw many first time Nominees go home with their Golden Treasure, the coveted Oscar Award.

A favorite segment was the appearance of Ben Stiller, made up as an Avatar, "I should have come in dressed with Star Trek make-up, with my own autographed set of ears since the Make up Artists of Avatar didn't even get a Nomination this year!" His on stage antics truly distracted the award winners as they chuckled and consciously stepped over Stillers' Avatar Tail.

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin looked Uncomfortable on Stage

Sometimes a look spoke volumes more than words!

"Two proved to be Better Than One"

Quoted from Los Angeles Press Release: "Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin just might have a future in show biz. Teamed up to co-host this year's Oscar broadcast, they offered a happy reminder that an often overstuffed, overwrought TV shindig can be lighthearted fun!"

Their comedic approach was likened to 70's Era Roast Banquets and they certainly feasted on the notariety and grace of Stardom attending the Awards that night!

What WAS he doing here?

Neil Patrick Harris in the Moment...

He started his song & dance bit with a Question? What am I doing here? On screen, "Harold & Kumar", he has had Movie Experience, but Patrick was truly on the edge as a singer, but because of his apparent ease and confidence, he pulled off the dance choreography a bit smarter than he did his singing. It wasn't that he was off key, timing or vocally unsure of himself, rather, it was lacking in finesse' - which I attribute to lack of Soundboard Effects, the sound team dropped the ball on him, proper mixing and vocal enhancement was due in this media genre, it's just expected.

It was absolutely apparent that every detail was attended to with Excellence in all aspects of this Academy Awards Production, the missing attention of the sound crew to the opening musical number was one of the only fauxpas' of the night.

82nd Annual Academy Awards

The winners were anticipated, the Nominees hopeful and the show was the very best, they really got it right this time.

Jeff Bridges said on the Red Carpet that he enjoyed the cast and the crew and the entire production process of "Crazy Heart" and he was very focused on this moment of his extraordinary career, no one was surprised that he ended the Awards night carrying the gold, Oscar Award for Best Actor.

The younger members of the Award Presenters' dressed in gowns that reflected their age and the era in which they live, Lauren Bacall may have thought back to the days when Marly Cyrus' gown would have been a corset wore under the dress and not seen by the public....

From the moment Amanda Seyfreid walked onto the stage, all eyes went to her princess gown as it made her appear to be floating along the floor in a notably flowing fashion.  She was stunning and poised in spite of her slightly observable nervousness.

Best Actress in "Precious" dressed in Royal Blue, stated on the Red Carpet that she felt like she was at the prom and her dress made her Sexy...

Breakfast Club cast honors the life of Deceased Director

In tribute to their mentor and director, the cast of "The Breakfast Club once know as the "Brat Pack", join other young stars  to recognize the life changing contributions of late director John Hughes onstage during the 2010 Academy Award Program.

Each member of The Breakfast Club cast has gone on to reach great acclaim in their stellar careers, the list of accomplishments too long to include in this Hub, but perhaps substancial enough for a Hub of it's own soon...

I wanted Avatar to win, but Hurt Locker won, though I didnt like as much. Bridges, "The Dude" (I love The Big Lebowski) finally got the award he was destined to get one day. Precious is a low budget high drama film, very wonderful and powerful. Even Mariah carey tried some serious acting. How scary is that? Almost as scary as Ben Stiller trying to humiliate a clearly not-too-impressed James Cameron.

But it's not car crash TV, it had its good moments. And Pixar scored for "UP" the gem that it clearly is!

Good hub, Dee Dee.

Scuse - did Bad_Company say more thigh? Heh! What a guy he is! I second that cheeky request! LOL!

Bad-Co...you are a scalliwag, yes? Hmmm the promise of such fun... I so love that you are here with us again, as I adore you and Cabin Girl so, I know that we shall be together somewhere, sometime....and about my wretched thighs...a peak is all you'll need mon cher', my last trip to the islands I climbed and climbed throughout the rain forest, my thighs grew so hard and tanned, like i've never seen!

Cheeky, I have been reading your Hubs, and learning of your true love as well...you have been blessed in talent and with the woman of your dreams, a twice blessed woman is creations crown!

This was a great read.

I got tickled at this part you wrote...

"Lauren Bacall may have thought back to the days when Marly Cyrus' gown would have been a corset wore under the dress and not seen by the public...."

Wow, you have managed to fit a lot of info on your page. I like each year's Award ceremony because everyone looks like they have managed to keep up with the latest film release - which I can hardly do. If I were asked to host the award ceremony my opening lines would include something like, "hey give me that film script I haven't got anything to do this week".
